In India, the standard brick size is determined by the standard code IS: 1077-1992. Common building bricks have conventional modular dimensions of 190 mm 90 mm 90 mm and 190 mm 90 mm 40 mm (length, width and height). Other non-modular brick sizes, such as 230 mm × 110 mm × 70 mm or 230 mm × 110 mm × 30 mm, can also be used.

For modular-sized bricks: Dimensions: 19 cm x 9 cm x 9 cm and 19 cm x 9 cm x 4 cm.
